I read a poem by Christina Rossetti, and was inspired by one line in particular. This poem springs from that: 'That which I chose, I choose. What I once willed, I will'
That which I chose, for good; for God
now I will choose once more,
not the same choice but in essence the same,
what I once willed I will will it again.
the cost, the price of this choosing,
may cause my heart to cry halt,
but if I do not quiet, and make still myself,
nothing good would I ever produce
for life comes not in doing my will,
but in willing the will of God.
