I killed a man today

I killed a man today,

I didn't mean to do it.

I never really meant him any harm,

I guess I just got carried away.

It's happened before many times,

Yes I have killed many men.

Don't get me wrong,

I didn't actually kill anyone.

Not physically if you know what I mean,

Just in my head and my heart,

By my thoughtless thoughts,

and my proud reactions.

Jealousy and feeling hurt,

pride and looking down,

my own self importance,

knocked him to the ground,

then self righteousness,

went in for the kill.

Yes I killed a man today,

and probably will again,

I never really mean them any harm,

I guess I just get carried away;

with myself,

God free me from myself.
